The Flathead Lacrosse Club is certainly growing fast this season and we strive to offer our programs to the most people possible.

Our boys programs are certainly well established but our girls program is struggling to draw enough players at the currently scheduled time.

In an effort to get our girls program jump started this season we will switch time slots for the U-15 boys team and the Girls team. This will allow 5-8 more high school girls to play lacrosse this spring. If we don't make this switch we will not have enough girls to start a program this year.

The U-15 boys will practice on Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30-6:00pm.

The Girls Team will practice on Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:00pm.

Our coaching staff has explored several options within the constraints of our budget, field time allotment, and coaching commitments. We have decided this is the best option to allow Flathead lacrosse club to offer a girls lacrosse program this season. I apologize for the change and hope you will understand the reasons why we need to change times.

Thank you for understanding.  Please leave a comment if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for taking the time to register for lacrosse this year!  We continue to grow and improve our programs each year and it is exciting to see so many new players.  This year we have almost 100 lacrosse players that have signed up and more players are adding daily.

We appreciate your patience as we aspire to streamline the registration process. Before the season begins we would like every player and parent to make sure they have completed all four steps to register for lacrosse.  Each step is extremely important for your safety. All players must have everything complete before stepping onto the field. Please be patient if there are any errors...I am sure there may be a few.

Review the team roster for your child's team.  I highlighted  each player/parent that needs to complete a few (or several) of the registration steps.  Everything can all be accomplished online or by printing and mailing the release forms or checks. Please complete the steps on the Registration Page.

If your players name is highlighted please complete the steps next to your name:

Girls Team: 8 players ( We do need seven more girls to register....keep recruiting!!!)

U-11 Team: 21 players -11 complete registrations

U-13 Team: 17 players -10 complete registrations

U-15 Team: 20 players  -11 complete registrations

High School Team: 32 players -10 complete registrations

Equipment:If you need equipment for the season please review what you need on our Equipment Page.  Order equipment soon as more affordable items will sell out first. Lacrosse helmets can take up to two weeks or more from order to delivery date. Order an all white helmet if you have the option.

I am sure you are all helping to recruit more players to play lacrosse this year.  We will start outdoor practice in a few weeks (high school starts this week).  Please, please, please encourage girls players to sign up to play so the girls program can take off this year.

I mentioned our registration/info night would be Tuesday, March 6th for Girls and Thursday, March 8th for boys from 5-8pm.  This will happen at the Whitefish Saddle Club, the log building in front of the Stumptown Ice Den.  This is located at 805 Wisconsin Ave. in Whitefish (Map Here). The middle school was booked.

Please make sure you fill out our online registration form here and register with US Lacrosse. This is the only way the coaches will get your emergency contact information and medical history. At the Saddle Club we will collect release forms and dues payments.

If you have equipment to sell or trade you can bring it along (the coaches will not be responsible for selling or storing your used equipment). We do have a few pieces of team equipment left for players that need a few items.

We will also have the 2012 Flathead Lacrosse apparel available for players and fans. We will have t-shirts, hoodies, and women's shirts available this year. Quantities are limited so come out!

We need a parent (or two) from each team ( U-11, U-13, U-15, High School, and Girls Team) to collect paperwork and checks from 5-8pm. This will allow our coaches to answer questions and meet players and parents. Please respond now if you are willing to help volunteer for a few hours.

We have reserved the Whitefish Armory for High School players and prospective players.  This will be every Thursday from 8:30-10:30pm in the month of March.  If you want to come check out the program, work on stick skills, and other activities to get you in shape for the season then come on out!

Pick up a stick for the first time or develop your left hand, learn to play in tight traffic...this is your chance to dust off the stick or break in your new stick.

Hello Parents and Players,

I will keep this real short....but... everything is very important.

The lacrosse season will begin on April 2 which is coming up fast.  Please take the time to register online. We will have a registration and info night for our boys and girls programs.

March 6th, 5pm:  Girls Lacrosse Registration/Info Night
There have been many requests over the past few years to bring girls lacrosse to our programs.  This is the year and now is the time to register.  There is only one girl signed up...we need more than that to play lacrosse.  We have located 4-6 local women who have expressed interest in coaching.  This program will be open for 6-12th grade girls. Register online before March 6th...come to registration night to turn in all your release forms.

March 8th 5pm: Boys Lacrosse Registration/ Info / Gear Swap Night for U-11, U-13, U-15 and High School
This is the night to come turn in or fill out your paper work.  Our coaching staff will be present to answer questions. If you have equipment to sell or trade you can bring it and offer it to people who need it. We have a few pieces of team equipment left and other items for sale (including various helmets). Register online before March 8th...come to registration night to turn in all your release forms.

Both Boys and Girls Registration nights will be at the Whitefish Saddle Club in the Cafeteria/Multipurpose Room ( 600 Second Street East - Map ). Enter through the east doors to access the building.

April 2nd and 3rd is the first day of practice, the practice schedule is listed on the page for each age group. The high school schedule is complete, view it here, the U-13 and U-15 schedule is near complete and will be posted soon.  All players need to have their paperwork complete before they may practice.

Please help spread the word in the next few days.  Hang a flier to notify prospective players. Click here to download a flier.

See you at registration night!

We needed to change the location of the Information and Equipment Night. It will be at the Whitefish Central School at 600 East Second Street. Please park on the east side of the building and enter through the east doors.

If you are planning to use team equipment this year please register prior to this meeting. We will distribute equipment only to people that have registered online.  This will keep the process organized and run much smoother than last year. Thank you for your cooperation.

On December 9th we will hold an informational meeting and equipment night. We will share information on exciting developments for the 2012 season for new and returning players. This is a great time to come ask questions, meet your coaches, and bring a friend who might want to play next spring. The meeting will begin at 7pm and we will distribute  equipment or size equipment at 7:30pm.

We will distribute the team equipment to players who have completed their registration. Two representatives from the Maulers Hockey Store in Missoula will be present to size players and take orders. Each player will need their own helmet; this is a great opportunity to try one on and place an order.  If you would like to purchase your own equipment these guys will have a selection of affordable equipment available to check out.

If you have equipment you would like to sell or trade please bring it and you might be able to sell your used equipment.

The meeting will be at the Whitefish Central School in Whitefish.  Please arrive at 7pm.  View the map below for directions.

If you need to check out team equipment for the season please register before Thursday, December 8th.
